SystemRescueCD 2.0.0
Ha sido actualizado a la versión 2.0.0, SystemRescueCd, un sistema Gnu/linux basado en Gentoo, arrancable desde cdrom que sirve para reparar tu sistema y recuperar tus datos después de un fallo. También intenta proporcionar una manera fácil de realizar tareas administrativas en tu ordenador, como crear y editar particiones en el disco duro. Contiene muchas utilidades de sistema (parted, partimage, fstools, …) y herramientas básicas (editores, midnight commander, herramientas de red). El objetivo es que sea muy fácil de usar: sencillamente arranca desde cdrom y puedes hacer todo.
Esta es la lista de cambios de la versión:
- Standard kernels based on the Long-Term-Supported 2.6.35 kernel (2.6.35.10)
- Alternative kernels based on the more recent linux-2.6.36 kernel (2.6.36.2)
- The squash filesystem is now compressed using XZ instead of LZMA
- Updated firmwares in both the initramfs and in the main filesystem
- xf86-video-nouveau is the new default video driver for Nvidia cards
- Updated GNU Parted to version 2.3 with patches from Ubuntu-10.10
- Updated GParted to 0.7.1 (fixes names with dmraid and mount points paths)
- Updated fsarchiver to 0.6.12 (fixes possible problems to save the rootfs)
- Updated initramfs software (programs involved in the boot process)
- Updated aufs filesystem to version 2.1 (another union filesystem)
- Updated xorg-server to 1.9.3 (graphical server and drivers)
- Updated Network-Manager programs to new major version 0.8.x
- Dropped alternative graphical server (Xfbdev) which is not supported
- Added a 64bit version of memtester (/usr/sbin/memtester-64bit)
- Added app-misc/tmux (Terminal multiplexer: fork of the GNU Screen project)
- Option “dodhcp” accepts comma-separated interfaces (eg: “dodhcp=eth0,eth2″)
