You don’t need any play button. Perroquet will automaticaly play sequence and stop. Use ENTER or repeat button to listen again.

Yo lo estuve probando con una serie en inglés y después de cargar los subtítulos ni hay que darle al botón Play, comienza a separar el video en trozos y lo reproduce automáticamente. Miré en Synaptics y de las bibliotecas que listás solo tengo instalada libsoundtouch1c2. Me parece que el problema debe estar en la versión de gstreamer. Tienes instalado ubuntu-restricted-extras ? Es raro. Yo lo estuve probando con una serie en inglés y después de cargar los subtítulos ni hay que darle al botón Play, comienza a separar el video en trozos y lo reproduce automáticamente.
